Fight Club Theme

I think that the main theme in Fight Club is not a lesson, but the opinion of the main character.  The main character feels negatively against consumerism as well as modern society.  Cause he feels this way, he goes along with Tyler Durden. Tyler Durden is the same way, but he does stuff during his night job top tryt to harm his clients.

I believe that Fight club was created to show a bit of fight against modern society and consumerism.  By participating in Fight club, they were able to escape modern society.  This was his outlet to let his emotional feelings out.  At first he used the support groups.  There people would talk to him.  Dying people helped him vent his emotions, curing his insomnia.  Later after meeting Tyler Durden, he used fight club in this same way.

I kinda agree with the main character.  I think that we are too caught up in consumerism and modern society is not what it should be.  Despite this, I don't agree with how he went about venting his feelings.  I feel there were better ways to express his feelings than the ways that he chose.  I think that there are many people out there that feel the same way that he does.
